On the occasion of International Day of Tolerance, URI CC Dialogue for peace – Morocco took part in a peace event organized by Students Ambassadors for peace at a Rabat-based Governance and Economy School. Karima Rhanem made a presentation on Peace education and ways in which students can help promote the culture of peace and tolerance at school, family, civil society, media and how they can advocate before their government to develop policies infavor of human rights, social inclusion of minority groups etc. were discussed. Three main key conflicts came in the discussion: The Arab-Israeli conflict, Morocco-Algeria diplomatic crisis over the disputed Sahara and the war on Syria and Iran Nukes. Recently Dialogue for peace has also participated in a fruitful dialogue on issues of normalization with Israel and Arab-Israel peace negotiations with a group coming from Jerusalem and other parts of the world.
