Mastering the crises: Mental health, digitalization, diverse and inclusive in youth work: the challenge for the future.
Desert Bloom for Training & Sustainable Development is hosting a Study Visit under KA2 Erasmus plus program in Jordan. The project is led by Jugendzentrum Perg – Austria in cooperation with 12 organisations from 12 European and Southern Mediterranean countries. 52 youth workers and civil society leaders have joined to learn about and contribute to the most needed competencies to handle the aftermath of COVID-19 and tackle current and future global challenges.
On the first day, we focus on understanding Mental Health and the power of thinking and some digital skills. In the evening, we had the cultural night where participants had a chance to introduce their countries and culture.
On the second day, the participating organisations had the chance to represent themselves. Then we had an Art Psychotherapy session. Then participants were divided into teams to play an outdoor digital game in the old city of Amman (Citadel and Roman Theatre).
The morning of the third day was dedicated to resilience and recovering from mental health problems. In this respect, we held a zoom session on prevention of mental health problems with the Royal Health Awareness Society. In the afternoon, we visited two civil society organisations; the first focuses on mental health and the second on youth empowerment NGO.
